I had nothing against the other versions of the ranger for BFRPG, but I like this take on the ranger as well.

Interesting take. I'm curious about why a more rouge-like approach to rangers rather than the usual fighter-variant.

My version was based off of the book series "The Ranger's Apprentice" by John Flanagan. I absolutely loved the books and the characters and thought it would be great to be able to play a character like the them.

Although looking back at my supplement and thinking about the books, I left out one main feature, climbing. In the books rangers had to be excellent climbers as well.

Interesting version... I like it.
Of course, I still like my own version better. ;)
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

just a small typo, but under restrictions: ranger is misspelled. Also, I don't know much about weapons specialization but the ranger seems to specialize in both the Longbow (+2) and the shortsword (when duel wielding with the dagger there is no penalty bonus for the primary weapon and only -3 with the off hand weapon). Those two and getting 2 range attacks per round seems a little over powered to me. There doesn't seem to be much of a drawback to being a Ranger other than not being able to use a longsword. seems to me that there should be some drawback, like not getting the range bonuses in caves and such since they are woodsman and the bad lighting affects them.

Note the change of name for this class. The stats have been changed somewhat also; I intend to give it a going-over and post some comments here, later.

Other than the name, has anything else changed?

There are a couple of times where it still refers to rangers rather than scouts.

In the second colum under requirements, and the second paragraph on page 2.

Jason changed the XP progression and altered what abilities they get from the Thief class.

I'm still mulling this one over myself. I'm unsure open locks and remove traps are relevant. Thoughts?
