Revised Vehicles

Mike Hill noticed, and posted on Google+, that the wilderness movement for ships is scaled to multiples of 5 miles, while overland movement is scaled in multiples of 6 miles. This inconsistency is awkward, to say the least, and I'm surprised we've never noticed it before.
Anyway... I'm posting a supplementary page here, copying the entire Vehicles section of the rules; the only change is the wilderness movement rates.
These changes can now be found in the BFRPG Core Rules.

Since a change is being made, should we also add Miles/Day for the chariot, coach, and wagon?

It's not necessary, as you can figure that from the normal movement rate and the overland movement table. Redundant, in other words. I might consider squeezing it in, though, just for convenience.

I was thinking that like the water vessels, the horse-drawn vehicles would not be moving at top speed all day.

Movement rates for carts etc. are predicated on the fact that animals pull them. The listed overland speeds aren't "top" speed, they are average speed.

OK, so miles per day for the chariot would be 72, the coach would be 36, and the wagon would be 24.
Also, this sentence is not correct:
"The parenthesized figure represents maneuverability;
again, see the Time and Scale section for details."
Maneuverability is covered in Part 5: The Encounter (page 44).

quozl, I'm putting together R101 of the Core Rules, and I need to know how you'd like to be credited (that is, how you'd like your name to appear). Please PM or email me your answer, and I'll get you in there.

Also, quozl, you've discovered a second error. The movement rate of a chariot cannot be faster than the movement rate of the animal pulling it; with riding horses at 80' and both draft and war horses at 60', there's no way 120' is correct. So I'm going to update that part of the Vehicles section as well, scaling all the figures down to be more reasonable.
