Re-uploaded with coldrage's redone artwork; I think just the Fool's Idol illustration needs revising. Yes the flow is broken right now, will be fixed next release.

Once you get everything spaced how you like it, just let me know if you need some filler art to fill up some glaring white spaces! If you put flow and function first I can come in behind you and fill the gaps in!
I think this is going to be a beeeeeautiful book!

For monster books, we generally prefer to keep the artwork limited to illustrations of the creatures, plus a title page image and a color cover.
Although an encounter scene can be nice...

I'm not worried about finalizing the flow yet, not while Bruce and others are still submitting artwork.
That being said, re-uploaded r25 with a few column tweaks. Also re-sized a couple images to fill the column width better.

Personally, I would love to see the occasional full-page or half-page art piece in the Field Guide 2. In fact, some of the art within the FG1 was designed as full-page art, but has been shrunk to fit in columns with the relevant monster entry (for instance, there is a battle scene against a Lich).
Would love to see the art given more focus... so many good pieces.

After a year of bad situations I'm stepping into the game again, I'll do some drawings for the FG2

Welcome back

I'll let Solo state on artistic matters, he still has far more experience with what will look best in print in regards to shading and such. But for now send me the high-res artwork, either via PM or chiisu81 AT basicfantasy.org.
