Re: Saga of the Giants
I forgot to put J.D.'s name in large print (it's in the copyright blurb but otherwise missing). I'll fix it up and repost it later.

Another great piece by Al, very impressive!
Re: Saga of the Giants
I have looked over the current release, but once a new release with that intro text is put up I'll look it over again.Solomoriah wrote:Do we need to do another proofing pass? Chi has looked at the individual bits, right?
Probably I should look the individual adventure intros and summations over again to be sure they all make sense for a consolidated work.

Re: Saga of the Giants
I'm working on getting a new release uploaded. The layout is going to need a lot of work before this can go to print... but it's not like I haven't done that before.

Re: Saga of the Giants
I notice the dungeon key appears in several places... I'd prefer to show it just once, but if I do that, where? I'm thinking in the first section (Hill Giant Hall) should be enough.

Re: Saga of the Giants
I think the first section would work.
Re: Saga of the Giants
Page 7, 16. Private Meeting Room: correct to "...the hill giant with 42HP;"
Page 18, 4b. False Door: change unalert to inattentive or such?
Page 47, Possible Random Encounters: change Harpys to Harpies
Page 82, 2. Guards: change imbedded to embedded? The former is technically as valid, but I'm used to the latter...
Page 92, 11. Humungous Scorpions: correct both instances to humongous
Page 128, 5. Spider Shrine: correct to humongous
Page 139, first full paragraph: correct to humongous
Page 166, Flask of Smoke: change smokey to smoky (with an e is usually seen in a name or noun, not adjective)
This thing is a beast; when it's closer to print candidate I'll be printing out for a full read-through and edit.
JD, can I presume you've used your HP checkbox tool on this? I will also check when I do the full read-through as well.

Re: Saga of the Giants
I'm posting a new version now with your changes. I removed the tags identifying which of the SG adventures each magic item was used in; there was no explanation, and someone coming to JN3 without knowledge of its genesis would be a bit confused by them. Since they seem to serve no internal purpose, I dropped them. You could use the search feature of the PDF viewer if you wanted to find where they were used, after all.
The stat-strings below the statblocks for the new monsters are inconsistent (Dark Elves don't have them, for example) and they aren't set in MonsterBlock style. I never liked that added bit when it was in the Field Guide. I think it was intended to make it easy to copy and paste a monster into an adventure, but honestly I'd rather see a separate supplement for that.
Anyway, we should either:
1. Put them in everywhere they belong, and correct the style, or
2. Remove them all.
I'd like J.D.'s opinion on that, as it is his module.
