Re: New class: Spirit Bound
The more magically inclined one, you mean a druid?

No

Re: New class: Spirit Bound
The differences are subtle but at the same time vast.
The soul-binder Focuses on drawing the power of his bond into destructive energy's.
whereas the druid worships nature and believes in the sanctity of life.

But don't they invest all their magical energy into their animal. Also it isn't specifically said what the druid's motivation is. I think the main problem is having 2 creatures controlled by one person. It's kinda unfair when everyone else has 1 characters where's you have 2 (linked but still not really fair).

Re: New class: Spirit Bound
the animal is like a hireling but with special abilities, if the gm lets the players roleplay their own hireling then let the player roleplay both bonded characters, otherwise use separate roleplayers.
Another alternative, make both characters use a single action for both of them, they act simultaneously having always the same initiative (roll one for both or use the lower of both rolls), this way the player has something like 1 character in two bodies acting like one improved character.

How about that each animal gets a choice between 2 bonuses to stats.
Canine: strength or constitution
Feline:Dexterity or strength
Avian: dexterity or constitution

Re: New class: Spirit Bound
I think increasing the amount of animal abilities and then removing the spell would be the best path. I wouldn't worry about the other "type" that gets more spells because that's the druid.
