Basic Fantasy RPG Forums

I'm not real happy with the title of this one. However, I did put a bit of thought into it before I wrote it. Perhaps some constructive feedback can make this better. I haven't been able to playtest it yet, but I do plan to use this one in my own campaign in the very near future.

Interesting ideas. While I appreciate you giving me props for inspiration, I think your idea is substantially different enough to stand on its own. Rather original stuff in my opinion. Still kinda freaky how something I wrote a number of years ago that was pretty much a fringe item that never saw use in any of the official WotC publications (though it was sent to them)... finds its way back into another game community.

I could have given them a more distinct name such as Thayan Soulforged or whatever. Lots of very specific Forgotten Realms fluff was used in it.

It's pretty neat.

This is basically my answer to a question I posted on the General Discussion board here. The original idea was for a helmet that would do what I made the whole suit of armor do in this supplement.

Incidentally, do you have a date for when you wrote the Soul Forged thing, Smoot? I would like to put the proper copyright date for that.

I've put this on the showcase. If there is a release 2, it will be to add the spells mentioned in the supplement.
