I fear it may be dead, but I will push on regardless!

Name 10 notable sites in the countryside surrounding Sandyshore be they village, dungeon, ruin, weird rock formation.. I dunno you people do this better than I do.

Here's to hoping this picks back up, it was doing so well for awhile. What happened you guys? Was it me? Was it you? It was probably you, I only compile the stuff. In any case we must all, together, press forward! A world of adventure awaits or something!

A cave in the hills outside town. The entrance goes on for 20 feet and is tight enough that a child, a gnome, or a halfling has to squeeze somewhat to get in, but it opens into a huge chamber in which may be found a number of valuable mineral deposits, including sapphires. This cave was formerly a mine dug by kobolds who abandoned it for mysterious reasons, and they have left one trap somewhere in it that will cause the whole thing to cave in.

A strange circle of standing stones is seen a short distance away from the town (a few miles away) that has been noticed to quiver occasionally along with the ground inside the stones. There are two small cave entrances leading down into the ground nearby that seem to blow fetid air out for a while then suck air back in. None that explored the caves have been seen again.

---Unknown to anyone (in the last 2000yrs) the standing stones are the teeth of a hibernating tarrasque and the ground slowly filled up around it including in it's mouth. Only the nostrils and teeth are exposed now while the rest of it is buried under the ground with the forest growing over it.-----

Just prior to the season of storms, an island is seen to rise out of the water with what appears to be a Castle on the tallest point of the Island. Those that have gone out to explore the island reports that Castle completely dry inside with supplies. Everytime the supplies are taken out of the Castle, they start to rapidly rot away, all the treasure turns to dust, but those that stay on the island to long get trapped inside the Castle as it sinks back under the waves.

Unknown to anyone is that the Castle was built by a wizard to allow him to explore under the sea. He built it on the back of a dragon turtle and was able to control it through the use of a dragon orb located somewhere in the Castle. The dragon turtle is following the last command it was given which was to follow a certain pattern which only the wizard knew.

A days walk into the nearby woods is an abandoned well. It is rumored that if you drink the water from it, strange and magical things will happen to you.

Truth about the well. It is just an plain well but there are mechevious fey (pixies and other types) that live near the well. If anyone comes to the well, they will cast random magic at that individual. This is due their nature and boredom.

Many days travel up the river is a waterfall. An enterprising clan of dwarves built a way to raise ships up to the top of the waterfall and lower ships to the bottom of the water.

They dug out a canal on the top of the waterfall that stops just short of going over the edge and let it be flooded. They built a matching canal at the bottom of the waterfall then built a water powered crane to raise and lower barges and other river traffic.

The amount of traffic grew so much that they had to build another one on the other side. Now one side handles traffic going up and the other side handles traffic going down.

Somewhere along the coast, there is a forbidden cave. People say that inside the cave there's a shrine of an unknown god a really evil one. The truth is that the shrine is sealed by mechanical and mystical ways, and both the church members and the devil worshipers are waging a secret cold war trying to know what lies in the shrine. Is it a way to summon the demons or the a way to bring the gods salvation upon town?

The waterfall also hides the entrance to the dwarves' underground fortress which they have been building and mining for years. There are several other entrances located in and around the mountain(s) but the area is largely unexplored and no one has stumbled across them yet.

Located a couple days journey down the coast, the opposite direction from the waterfall, is the remains of a ruined castle. It is located on a well-protected and fortified outcropping of rock but has been abandoned for years. It is said that an eccentric mage used to live there and that he just disappeared one day (false). Other rumors include the following:
- An order of paladins used to call the castle home but were overcome by some mysterious evil which emerged from deep inside the mountain/cliff (true)
- The mage is still alive and built a network of secret passages and caves into the cliff and simply moved underground for privacy (partially true - there is a network of caves and tunnels boring into the cliff)
- The baron who used to live there was heartbroken after his wife fell to her death into the reef below and sealed it up and just left it (false)
