Galan examines the area around the entrance looking for footprints, etc. to see if he can get a rough estimate of how many goblins there are and any other clues or information that he might come across.

Davros silently fumes about the continued ribbing he's getting from Galen about the tournament while he looks around the entrance to the tower. He notices the others are also investigating so he decides he will just keep an eye on whats going on around the tower in case the goblins posted some lookouts or an ambush.

Galan excamines the footprints. There appears to be at least twelve. He can also see the footprints of some wolves, around five or six. He can also tell that they were dragging some large object... perhaps a treasure chest.
Davros looks up at the tower. Their appears to be something of a makeshift prison at the top. While
he can't see inside very well, he can make out a small figure.
OOC: Uh, let's just assume it's vines. I get both words confused...
The entrance is indeed proper. As I said, the front is overgrown with twine. It's somewhat brittle, so cutting through it is no problem. It seems very dark. You light your torches and slowly walk in. You preceed down a somewhat short hall. You can smell something roasting nearby. As you reach the end of the hall, you see three figures... Goblins. They're roasting what appears to be a rather large rat. They do not seem to notice you.
So what's the plan?

For now, Neville listens if goblins speak and try to figure out what the subject is.

As much as Davros wants to jump in and clobber some goblin, he knows there are probably more capable fighters in the group, especially the tough looking dwarf. He slides next to bookish looking fellow in front of him and pats him on the back, smiling nervously while giving him the thumbs up.

Pero stops in his tracks at the first sight of goblins. Taking a step back he feels the hafling moving up, looks down and steels his resolve. Slowly he closes the hood of his lantern trying to do it gradually so the goblins won't take notice. Still holding the dimmed lantern aloft he slides his staff into up into his hand getting a better grip.

Galan pulls up as he sees the rest of the party stop. Peering around the party he realizes the reason for the stoppage. Gripping his warhammer tightly he slowly slides off to the side and sinks into the shadows thinking "The element of surprise can be a powerful weapon".

Keiler sees the goblins, then sees Neville stop and tilt his head, like he was listening intently.
He readies himself, and waits for Neville's signal.
(I'm giving Neville a chance to listen before attacking. What's the distance?)

This is what Neville hears.
The first goblin, who looks like any typical goblin, says "Is it done yet? Haven't had good food in forever."
The second goblins, who looks about the same, says "Patience. It's almost done. Gots to get nice and juicy."
"Bah, haven't had anything good. Why can't we eat that girl? She looks nice and soft... and juicy..."
"How many times do I gots to tell you? The chieftan wants her alive. That's why Uug is guarding her, so no one eats her. Belive me, I'm all for a nice juicy meal." "Then tell me why we can't eat her." "Because the chieftan wants her alive! I just told you." "What for?" "Dunno. Said it was importiant. Had to do with something." "You mean that thing on he..." "Shhh! Don't let anyone hear you! How many times do I have to tell you? Someone might hear..." "Aww, c'mon! It's just me, you, and ol' Kraggor. Besides, no adventurers come 'round here anymore." "Yes, but what if they suddenly show up? Then what will we do?" "Aww, c'mon. You're always so uptight. Loosen up, right Kraggor?"
The third goblin, apparently know as Kraggor, seems to ignore the other two. He looks quite taller then the other two. He's armed with better armor, and what seems to be an almost new shortsword. He has his eyes closed, with his arms crossed. He looks like he's in deep thought. "Bah, leave him. Beside, the rat is ready." Finally! Been waiting forever..."
The distance to them is about 30ft, west-northwest of where you're all standing.
