Galan shakes his head in resignation and thinks to himself "That Davros is as stubborn as a mule. When I finally get Davros back to the temple I better be promoted to Archbishop for this."

Aloud he says, "Well, Davros. I can see that your mind is made up and if you're that set on it I don't want to ruin your dream. If you can find some adventure here I will accompany you until it's completion whereupon you will return with me to the temple, but if there is no adventure to be found we will return immediately. Does that sound fair?"

The bartender shouts at Darvos "Oy, are we gonna finish up our business or not? There's gold in it for ya..." He then looks around the tavern, and says "...and some for anyone else interested..." His eyes immediately shift to Pero. He looks him over, and after Pero finishes speaking, he responds "Oy, you're not from 'round here, are ya? Ya don't hafta go through an office or anything. Here's what I want done..." He looks around the room again, and raises his voice so everyone can hear him "Oy, just a few days ago, in the middle of the night, some goblins snuck into here. They ransacked a house not too far from here. They took everything... but that's not the important part. You see, this married couple lives there, along with their daughter..." He then starts to frown. "They took the daughter, and ran off with everything else they had. Alderonth knows what goblins want with a little girl. You should see the wife. She's in hysterics. All she does is cry all day long, 'till she puts herself to sleep. They got no money to pay anyone to find the daughter, but, you see, the husband is the cousin of ol' Lord Helsith. He's been looking 'fer some adventurers to pull off a rescue. 'course, might be too late for a rescue, but he says that anyone who's gonna help find her, gets a hundred gold pieces. It's probably gonna be goblins ya hafta deal with. Are ye interested?"

While the bartender talking to Pero, another barmaid steps out from the back. She looks to be in her mid forties. She has short, blonde hair, and green eyes. Unlike the last one, she seems less frightened. She looks around the room, and heads over to Thaddeus. She then asks him "*yawn* What'll it be? Stew, Mutton, Ale, Beer... all for a silver."

"Aye, I'm sorry to hear that." says Gabriel. "What might you be in exile for? I do hope I'm not offending you for asking." As Keiler hands out the drinks, Gabriel says, with a smile "You're the nicest dwarf I've ever met...come to think of it, you're the only dwarf I've ever meet."

Davros looks over at Galen with a smug look on his face before jumping on the table and looking over at the bartender.

"I don't know about the rest of you, but count me in. I will rescue that little girl if she is still alive, Alderonth be willing, and if she is not I will bring vengeance down in his name instead."

Davros leaps down from the table and sits back down muttering. "And its Davros not Darvos..."

As soon as he hears mention of the gold and Lord Helsith, Pero drums his hands on the bar.

"Happy day. You are in luck sir, my partner has a certain "affinity" for goblins. Isn't that so Keiler?"

He calls out as he crosses the floor to his table and gathers up his pack.

"If you would kindly point us in the direction of where she was last seen, or the nearest goblin camp. If that child is still alive, we will have her back safe and sound"

This last bit is spoken almost in unison with Davros. Pero halts in his thought to look at the hafling on the table.

"The more the merrier then. If you are willing, it would wise to pool our resources. If your business is concluded Master Dwarf, young priest, time is of the essence."

He says as he downs the last of his own drink and looks antsy standing by the door.

Keiler nods to Gabriel, with a smile. "Aye, Neville. Must have been important-" Hearing Pero, Keiler stops mid-sentence, and replies with a bit of a bellow. "Aye, I can be very persuasive with the little blighters!"
Turning back to Neville, "But it's a story I'll have to miss. Or you could join us. Sounds like a bit of coin to be earned, and an extra set of eyes and blades is never amiss. Ah, work to be done."

With a nod to Gabriel, Keiler downs his ale, and starts grabbing his equipment: backpack reslung, cloak over shoulders, and helmet on head. He grabs his Axe with his left hand, his mutton leg with the right, and starts heading for the door. "Come on, all you that are comin'!"

Galan rolls his eyes and mutters under his breath, "Blood and bloody ashes! I should have seen that coming. ... Well, the temple's coffers are running low and Alderonth is not one to forsake someone in need."

Galan stands up, drains his mug, and announces with as much enthusiasm as he can muster, "I too shall join this noble cause and may Alderonth go with us."

"Sorry, ma'am," Thaddeus says, standing up. "It looks like there's about to be a rescue." Then, "Which family was it? Where do they live? Maybe they can tell us which direction the goblins set off for."

Galan looks around at the group that has gathered and says "Me and my companion must take time out for our thrice daily prayer time. Why don't the rest of you see what other information you can gather about town and then return for us in an hour's time."
Providing the group agrees, Galan motions to Davros and heads over to ask the bartender if he has a quiet corner somewhere that they could use.

The bartender lets out a hearty laugh "Haha, now that's what I want!" He looks first to Thaddeus and says "They're the Burke family. Lives right across from here. They don't know anything, unfortunatly. The whole thing was in the middle o' the night. The Husband happened to hear something, and went downstairs. Took a beating, he did. They didn't know which way they went, because they were panicking." He then turns to the halflings with a frown, and says "Yeah, g'head and use the upstairs room. First on the left. Just don't be too long. As fer the rest of ya, do what you gotta do, but please hurry. Lots of folks already think the girl's dead. Be a shame if that were the case. When yer ready, let me know, and we'll get some guards 'ta escort ye to where they think the girl might be." He then mutters under his breath "Bloody guards, not wantin' to go in, due to rules an' regulations. If I was a bit younger..."

OOC: Sorry for misspelling Davros. GM gives you a waffle. (#)
