Re: Recommendation for Solo Adventure for Beginning DM please
Or perhaps I should pick an adventure out of the anthology? And perhaps cut the monsters in half or 1/3rd?

Re: Recommendation for Solo Adventure for Beginning DM please
Morgansfort (BF1) states it is for 2-8 players, but would it be possible with just one player, i.e. my 16 year old nephew? Could I simply cut the monsters in half? Or does it require 2 players for other reasons? If so, can I just substitute one of the players with an NPC that I play but my nephew pr...

Re: What type of dices do I need to play this game?
I normally buy Chessex dice. What do you guys think about the ent-mart brand. Ent-mart is the only brand of dice I see that sells a large number of d8.. in this case a set of 10 d8 (hit dice) for only $4.99. Here's a photo of what I'm talking about, let me know if I should "roll" with them...

Re: What type of dices do I need to play this game?
Oh I figured you rolled the hit dice every time they encounter monsters whether they be static or wandering, especially the latter. So a couple wandering 9 hit die monsters.... the player's would have to wait for a lot of rolling and math. heh. I was actually thinking about buying a bag of 10 d8 hit...

I'm new: after reading rules, why play a human character?
Disregarding roleplay and just looking at the stats, why play a human character? In classic d&d you played human because that's what you played to be a fighter, cleric, magic user or thief, you had no other choice. But, in BFRPG all the demi-humans have much more powerful special abilities and s...

Re: What type of dices do I need to play this game?
What do you guys typically do for monsters that have huge amount of hit dice, say 10. Do you roll your D8 ten times and add it up, or do you usually use an android/ios device with a dice calculator (I'll probably go with the latter for monster hit points.. the rest I'll roll by hand.

Re: GM screen
Scott Abraham created a PDF of the most-used information laid out to attach to a screen; it's the closest thing we've got right now. I never use a screen, so I can't say much about it. It's on the Downloads page, just above the Supplements: Additional Classes heading. I am a newbie DM, and was just...

Re: Five Things I Like About Basic Fantasy
I love all that you guys mentioned in addition to the black & white line artwork, the typeface (souvenir) and the familiar layout (Moldvay 1981). I also love that it is black and white which I can print on regular white paper. I can't stand the WoTC 5e DMG for example, which uses a grey parchmen...
