Re: Basic Fantasy Field Guide 2

Another correction that I missed: Pg.4 P4 -“... an amalgam may be Turned by a Cleric ( as specters , but with a -6 penalty on the roll)...” C”... an amalgam may be Turned by a Cleric ( as a spectre , but with a -6 penalty on the roll)... Q This seems to be the only instance where the UK spelling is ...

Re: CS2 The Pit

I saw in the project priorities that you still need more floors. I would be glad to help with that. What character level range should I aim for?

Re: Basic Fantasy Field Guide 2

Alright! I'm uploading my corrections, suggestions, and questions for all creatures starting with A. Some of my thoughts so far: 1) The Advi naming convention is strange. The name in the stat blocks are "Advi, X", but in the text the name is just "Advi X". Is Advi a descriptor like Nazgorean or Infe...

Re: Basic Fantasy RPG Core Rules 3rd Edition

Found another inconsistency in the Bugbear description: "Bugbears receive a +1 bonus on damage due to their great Strength ." Every other instance is "... bonus to damage due to strength ." I apologize for writing these in different posts. I'm going through FG 2, and looking at wording in the core r...

Re: Basic Fantasy Field Guide 2

I just went through this, and noticed that a lot of creatures with special/magical abilities, don't have stars next to their HD. This is a relatively subjective thing, and I wasn't intending to proofread, so I didn't record any of it. Nothing seems to necessarily go against precedent, it's ju...

Re: Basic Fantasy Field Guide

I just noticed that the succubus comes before the quasit, and spined devil, when it should go after. I also noticed that the two ram varieties (wild, and war) are not in alphabetical order. I'm not sure if this was intentional, or not. The rams also strikes me as two things that could share a stat b...

Re: Basic Fantasy RPG Core Rules 3rd Edition

In the description for the Deinonychus on page 66: "... is a medium-sized feathered dinosaur weighting approximately ..." Should be: "... is a medium-sized feathered dinosaur weighing approximately ..." ctrl-f shows this is the only instance of this typo Also I noticed: "...reaching about 11 feet of...

Re: Diagonal squares and distance

Counting every second diagonal square twice works equally well in 10' and 5' squares... just sayin'. This is what I do. If you want to be really picky, then you can count 10th diagonal square as one square, and the next diagonal as two, (so that both the 9th and 10th diagonals count as one square, ...

Re: Battle mats

If you do get a mat, I would recommend using dry erase and clearing it with a damp cloth, even if the mat is advertised as wet erase. In my experience, they'll accumulate some marker residue no matter what, but dry erase + damp wipe is your best path to a long life. My current group is using 36" ro...

Seriously, I don't know how all this niceness happened.
Amazing, no-nonsense moderators.

Well not no nonsense, just no bad nonsense
