Re: The Forgotten Hero (BFRPG Fiction)

While I'm not really a fan of short stories -- they end so soon that I never get the chance to become involved in the story -- I did indeed enjoy your writing. Even though the story was very abrupt you were able to capture and convey the emotions of the characters very well. I feel certain that if ...

Re: The Forgotten Hero (BFRPG Fiction)

Don't know if we'd ever need to formalize that ;) I just made it easier to read, esp. on a tablet/phone. Maybe if one day we could put together a fiction anthology... Appreciate the PDF conversion, sir! If anyone has a BFRPG module (etc.) that they'd like to see someone tackle in short fiction, I'd...

Eastover Patrol (NEW) & The Forgotten Hero (BFRPG Fiction)

UPDATE 7/28/18: Added the new story Eastover Patrol to the OP. I quite like this one, personally. I'd love to hear thoughts on it (good or bad). As always, thanks to anyone who takes the time out of their busy lives to read it! 10/31/2017: Hey, everyone. I intentionally left out detailed description...

Re: BF-Healer

Based on this thread I made a Healer sub-class. You can find the files on the Showcase Dimirag, curious why you chose Raise Dead (which we already talked about) over Restoration? I'm warming to the idea of Raise Dead, but Restoration seems more fitting to the character. Just wondering what your tho...

Did you make this one, Dimirag? It's marvelous! Thank you!

My only question would be regards to "Raise Dead" and (perhaps) "Animate Dead". Are those typically clerical "spiritual" spells? Could a Healer cast something like that?

Re: Healer class - open for critique and suggestions

Thanks for posting this Healer class, and if I may, a bit of advice. Take all constructive criticism posted here seriously, always good to have a second opinion. I've gotten some great stuff by doing this same thing. However...... Don't feel like you have to change everything or adjust your class t...

Re: Healer class - open for critique and suggestions

Longman, Really like the list! A few of them in particular. I guess the one thing that jumps out to me though, is, 15 Powers!!? Seems like a lot of extra stuff to remember, and a bit of a dichotomy when viewed through the lens of BF, where everything is supposed to be stripped down and basic. I purp...

Re: Healer class - open for critique and suggestions

The problem is that you are using spell without the magic, if you want give him skills that replicate those effects, otherwise it feels out of character and mechanic I never said it's not magic. Just not magic through prayer. It's more akin to the magic of a magic-user (using spell-components, etc.)

Re: Healer class - open for critique and suggestions

1- Creation: No class receives a bonus to their initial abilities, and that must remain on every new class or sub-class. My bad. Must have overlooked that in the rulebook. 2- Combat Abilities: Same access as a fighter but with a -1 one to some weapons and a +1 to others, they are not confined by an...
