Jaali - I'd check the rules on that potion. It will make you gaseous for an unspecified period of time (10-50 minutes when drunk in thirds) and during that time you can't grab an item, like the sphere. Rules Check: Scrolls with long spell casting times

Hi, A magic user in my PbP is trying to cast Hallucinatory Terrain from a scroll (normally the spell takes a full 10 minute turn to cast). Just wondering if the casting time from a scroll is intended to be the same as written for the spell, or, if the fact that it is a scroll makes the casting time ...

Maju, that spell normally takes a full TURN (10 minutes) to cast.

I'm going to do a rules check in general discussion to work out if casting that spell from a scroll is done in a round, or if it must also take 10 minutes.

One on one is tricky. I do it with my son all the time, and have worked out a few tactics. - Never have too many monsters in an initial fight set-up. You can always add more in later. - Have an NPC that you run, who can make helpful suggestions if totally neccesary. - Focus on role-playing with NPCs...

OK, finally getting around to this... The ledge is about 200 feet in length and about 60 feet wide. Rostam dives below and manages to grab the unconscious merchant's assistant and get him to the surface. It is not clear if he is alive or dead. The monk swims over and helps with getting the man back ...

Definitely a situational call. If they are out hunting they might have a bag with 3-4 each. On the way back from hunting, maybe only one left. In a trap or likely defensible spot, a whole pile. Hengist moves up to D9 to guard the magic user! Excellent work! Hengist is also carrying the lantern so there is now light shed on the space beyond the door, hopefully. Ranald will now move up to E9 on the top map, just behind Hengist and the mage. He still has the crossbow and is still watching out...
