Re: BFRPG SRD

Once I have TTL updated... So, I don't know that I've posted much about this in detail, but I've been creating this SRD using a scripting language I've been working on for years: Text Transformation Language (TTL) . I'm an ex-technical writer, and even in my current IT manager role, I find myself r...

Re: BFRPG SRD

Hey, everybody. Been a while since I posted. It would be a large undertaking to convert the text into Markdown Nah, it'd be easy. I can write a TTL script to do that. I've also recently been learning about markdown and Git since I migrated the TTL project to GitHub several months ago. But I need to ...

Re: Requests to Change the Rules

This thread actually got me thinking in a different vein. I was going to post something along the lines of this: Remember the old game manuals for SEGA and Nintendo games? In the back of the manual, there'd be a few blank, lined pages that said "Notes." You should add a page to the back and label it...

Re: Adventure: King of the Autumn's Harvest

I've updated the hyperlink in the first post, and I've expanded the adventure further. Not quite done yet, but much further along! I'm really hoping to complete this adventure by Christmas and move onto the next one.

Re: BFRPG Character Creation

Looks nice. Are you going to tie it into a specific edition or revision? By this I mean putting page numbers for reference. This would allow new players to know what page they can go to for reading more in depth information for that edition/revision. I'll wait for third edition to go to print (if i...

Re: RPG Primer and Old School Playbook

Your players should always suspect traps. There should be no "get a sense" about traps, they should expect them everywhere. Well, I don't run many traditional "dungeons." My player characters are much more likely to get drawn into a tavern brawl or a gang battle in the local market than they are to...

Re: BFRPG SRD

I've restructured dustinian.com quite a bit in the past few weeks. I've moved the SRD to a folder called "_prototypes." The new URL is: http://www.dustinian.com/_prototypes/bfrpg_srd.html

Re: RPG Primer and Old School Playbook

Ordered mine when it first hit Amazon. I enjoyed it! I'm still by and large a "New School" DM, but I'm still trying to pick up the "Old School." In fact, I ran a game of BFRPG after work two weeks ago. My group had another great time! I meant to take a few pictures, but, alas, we started playing rig...

Re: BFRPG Character Creation

Hi Koren_nRhys, Sorry for the broken link. I'm rearranging dustinian.com, and I moved that file. I just moved it Tuesday! Bad timing! I've attached the file to this message. bfrpg_character_creation.zip I'll correct the link in my first post once I finish moving things around on dustinian.com. I hop...

Re: Adventure: King of the Autumn's Harvest

Ring toss seems a little too like a ranged attack to be the Dexterity game. By way of using the same illustration... what about something like a ring-juggling game, or a sort of primitive carousel complete with the old-fashioned brass ring grab? I'm not familiar with brass ring grab? I have no prob...
