Re: Clerics - Brainstorming

I got the idea of the mystics from reading this article while doing some other research. I knew I wanted to use this somewhere and the mystic branch was born from it. I liked the idea of a loosely organized church that was more free-form in their beliefs and seeking answers beyond the packaged answe...

Re: Clerics - Brainstorming

I have started a post but there is a lot there so it will become a series. For now, I will post s few bits of the info. Use this however you wish; be it inspiration or otherwise. First off, the Church of Deus has three main branches: Orthodox, Reformed and Mystic. The branches have similar root beli...

Re: Clerics - Brainstorming

Thank you very much for your kind words, Shadowmane. I have some other ideas that I will share when I get time and I will also get a more in depth blog post started. Incidentally, your idea on saints are fairly close to mine. While I don't consider them demi-gods, I do see them as ascended mortals g...

Re: Clerics - Brainstorming

My campaign uses a monotheistic system very similar to what you have in the Church of Tah (Mine is the Church of Deus). Here are few ideas I have had that I hope help: Druids : Members of a sect started by a Saint Francis type priest who saw nature in need of protection and redemption from its falle...

Re: A Campaign Question

Basically, the blog would contain the frame story and the material I release about the setting. The game itself would be nothing but the setting material and the players would not have to worry about it. One of my players likes the idea as it plays off our love for alternate history fiction and pseu...

A Campaign Question

Forgive me if this is in the wrong spot. Please feel free to move this post if it is. On my blog (Link in Sig) I am asking a question on how I may approach the setting I am working on. The idea is that there is a type of frame story where the documents and material I will be releasing will have been...

Re: How Many are DM'ing or Playing in a BFRPG game?

My campaign has just switched over to BFRPG for various reasons. We have had our first session and I plan a side game with my kids and maybe a couple others.

Hello!

Many of you know me under my former handle of 'Julian Grimm'. I have been a long time fan of BFRPG and how Chris has handled the line. I finally realized there was a forum here and thought I would join up. Looking forward to meeting all of you.
