Re: Prelude: They Met In A Tavern

It's a good point. I was thinking the halfling and dwarf could scout the hole and then we could crawl through, but perhaps enlarging it is a better way to go. Also, when the DM asks you something like that, you have to think there's a good reason.

Re: Prelude: They Met In A Tavern

So long as Grumm has his pole arm and has maybe snatched a loaf of bread from the kitchen, he's ready to go.

Grumm: "You're a bastard Harald, and a fool, but I'll take your offer. You can have 10 percent of any coin that I find down below, assuming I come back alive."

Re: Prelude: They Met In A Tavern

Once Grumm has retrieved his pole arm, he'll suggest blocking the hole in the cellar wall until everyone has assembled their gear and then doing a bit of exploration. Re: Prelude: They Met In A Tavern

Grumm will allow his wounds to be tended and then get to work blocking the hole with barrels - anything heavy. At some point, he needs to grab his pole arm and then question the innkeeper about the hole.

Re: Prelude: They Met In A Tavern

"Wounds be damned, I'm not going to lose the wench to bloody kobolds." Grumm engages one of the kobolds that was dragging the woman. If I can topple a barrel on him without putting the wench in danger, I'll do that. If not (and I'm assuming not), I'll just go at it with a dagger, doing my best to l...

Re: Prelude: They Met In A Tavern

Grumm will continue to press his attack, trying to work his way toward the wench.

Re: Prelude: They Met In A Tavern

Yeah - I figured it was just the dagger. I doubted I would be dragging my polearm around with me when I went to check on the wench.

If I have the initiative, I'll press my attack.
