Are there expanded Fighter rules, anywhere?

I've done a cursory search, and I'm not finding anything that could make a Fighter more interesting.

And to be fair, the Basic Fantasy Fighter isn't really all that good. I mean, even the Thief gets a situational damage booster.

The important question is: How long do you want the characters to be 'down'? In a lot of S&S the hero (and it's often singular) gets hurt, but comes back almost immediately. One of my players had dragonscale armor made from a dragonkill. Any thoughts on how to stat this? I said take plate mail AC for now, but wanted to see if I should beef that up or add some kind of fire resistance. Thoughts? I'd give it resistance to the elemental breath of the dragon. You need to play with the Healing rules. Could you (or anyone) point me toward the Healing rules. I'd love to take a look. Page 51, Healing and Rest You get 1 HP after a good night's rest.
