Another vote for Linux, Puppy is a great USB based distro that runs on almost every kind of computer.
Slax is another good alternative.

Kynndelic nods to everything William and Elizabeth say trying to look uncospicuous. He does not hide the fact that he's an elf though.

Kynndelic stares around quite surprised as if things had flashed around him.
"Are things ever so... lively in human towns?"
He resumes walking towards the tavern holding faster to his spear and eyeing his comrades nervously.

Kynndelic falls behind Elizabeth and William, he looks around for quaint human habbits and traditions.
If there's no horse for Shaha or Elizabeth he offers his own, if the ladies would rather walk he'll walk leading the horse.

With eyes wide open with surprise Kynndelic says: "If your tale is false it is at least grandiose. I'll escort you Lady. To satisfy my curiosity, at least."

"A most charming cargo indeed" says Kynndelic with a small bow.
"Please, tell us lady Shaha, where are we to escort you... and what are the perils."

Kynncelid nods: "So you changed your mind Captain. The most important cargo this age has seen? I wonder what that should be..."

"I don't think confronting the captain, his obviously magically talented ally, and most of all his crew while out at sea is a good idea." Says Kynndelic "We should try to play it safe, let's wait till we reach Caerton and then go talk to this Lianai."
