Re: The Blackapple Brugh

Solo/Chi,
I just realized that areas c24-c26 are in the wrong order in the text. The rooms are correctly labeled, just the order is wrong. Not sure how I missed that.
I can fix it in the current r13 on Dropbox unless one of you happen to be doing something else with that version.

Re: Leomond's Tiny Hut

Oh man.
L2 The Assassin's Knot was one of my favorite modules. It was different, maybe even advanced for its time.. more whodunit than Dungeon crawl with great NPCs and great opportunities for roleplaying.
Sad to see him go, but he made his mark.

Re: Hexcrawl procedures?

My presented procedures were devised to facilitate zero game prep for my purposes. And then if time permitted, I could also pre-plan out areas of map, dungeons, plots, encounters etc. The idea was to NOT REQUIRE any prep, but certainly allow for as much pre-planning as desired. Any randomly generat...

Re: Hexcrawl procedures?

I'm glad you posted this, because I've heard the term hexcrawl 1000 times without having any real definition (I think the term came into use during my 30 year sabbatical from RPGs). My point of reference is the Isle of Dread (or Monkey Isle if you like), where the players are given a map with a huge...

Re: Teaman's Pictures for Basic Fantasy

Anyhoo as you all know that in our own world's history in Europe, belt pouches, purses and bags were the norm until the Modern Age (16-hundreds) when pockets were invented for men's clothes. Women didn't get pockets in their clothes until the 19th Cent. (They previously had discreet slashes in thei...

The pouch? It's where he keeps his best lock picks, so they're handy.
He's thinking about whether he should rob Garthwyte Manse tonight or wait for the new moon.
BTW, like this thief the best out of your latest crop... but they're all good.

I think you can only copy and redistribute content that's specifically designated as Open Game Content. If not, you'd probably be breaking copyright law.
That's my understanding, but I'm not a lawyer.

Re: Attempt at a new cosmology

Your examples of how this affects the game provide fodder for some pretty cool adventure hooks. They mostly boil down to some kind existential crisis from affected PCs (those poor clerics!) or NPCs (those poor summoned creatures!). Another impact of such a revelation in the campaign is that the real...

Re: Attempt at a new cosmology

It's the type of thing I would probably enjoy reading, but more because it touches on religion/philosophy than it having any application to how one would run a game. Seven is right, pantheons and campaigns go hand-in-hand. So in the scheme of supplements, I guess what you're proposing would fall und...
