Re: Module ideas

That sounds good. I like anything that has a meta-narrative/ overarching story or theme but is broken up into small bite-size missions. My players like to have a definite goal and not have to worry about remembering too much. However, they also get a kick when things intertwine. I downloaded the ori...

Re: Module ideas

I think it sounds great! If you do one up I will certainly download it. But how would this be different from something like Morgansfort? Not doubting but I am curios as to what the differences would be since I have never read any of the "Forgotten Realms" stuff.

Re: The Dungeon of Kyros

I actually googled it and read a long thread about it on this site. I am grateful that you put forth the effort to put out Iron Falcon and it really does fit a hole in the retro clone library. That said . . . yeah . . . I think I will stick with BFRPG. It really is an awesome game and I have no inte...

Re: The Dungeon of Kyros

Re: The Dungeon of Kyros

I tried to download the pdf file here and couldn't. Solomoriah (head honcho) mentioned this adventure and I googled it which led me to this post. I would love to be able to download and run this short adventure. My players actually prefer the short ones.

Re: Help finishing up an adventure

Yeah, this is what I have found too. I am learning to jot down some options (characters/ stats/ scenarios and such) on a sheet and keep the story open to unfolding any way that they want it. I have also found that the little stories found in the Anthology have been the ones that my players have enjo...

Re: Help finishing up an adventure

Thanks for the ideas. I ended up going with a Lich (a weaker one because the wizard who became a Lich was not very powerful and did not become one of out of his own will). I just had him use spells to hold and control ("charm" and such) the two adventurers. I made some crap up too. That's why I like...

Re: When a character dies

I agree and that's why I like it so much. My question was more about how that one would reintegrate a character that had died back into the game without saying, "You're dead . . . sit in the corner and watch us play."

Help finishing up an adventure

I am the GM and my group is about to finish up a long overarching meta narrative that will have two of their own party (from a very large group) become possessed and the challenge will be to destroy the enemy who has possessed the two without killing those possessed. Who would be a good monster who ...

Re: BFRPG users by State and Country

Well . . . that's some great (and useless) information! "It's all relative" seems to be the postmodern answer to everything. For me, I like definite qualifications and such. Anyways, for me, I think I would qualify one by saying that it has places where you could fall off and die (or be seriously in...
