Re: Stat arrays

We're planning to use a variant of 6 x 3d6 where you roll a 3d6, pick which stat to assign it to, roll another, etc. until you've filled every slot. Kind of a nice middle ground between 3d6 straight down and 3d6 arrange to taste, where you get a little mini-game of "do I want that 14 in str, or hol...

Re: 2 questions...

In my opinion, most monsters notice by sight first in the same manner that IRL animals notice threats. It really falls upon the GM to make the call on what sense the monster uses for their notice. Some use their hearing, take Giant Bats for instance. Some use their smell, take Caneins for example. ...

Re: 2 questions...

Thanks for the reply. So the Elven Cloak just makes you practically invisible but not silent? So if you were trying to sneak around a room full of baddies you would have to roll against the 80% to stay unnoticed as well as roll a check to make sure the baddies don't hear you as well? By the wording ...

2 questions...

1. Human experience bonus. Is the 10% bonus simply awarded on top of the total xp given at the end of the adventure? Or is it given with ANY xp earned during the adventure? 2. Elven Cloak. The item description says the wearer can move around practically unnoticed at an 80% chance. Does this include ...

Re: PCMatic Beta Testing

There isn't, unfortunately. Fields should save (and flash yellow) when you update them. Tabbing out of a field may "kick" the save, though honestly I don't know why it wouldn't work in the first place. What fields are failing, and what are you putting in them? I finally got it to work. What I had t...

Re: Quasi Classes 2

Excellent! The supplement Assassin doesn't sit well with me. The loss of find/remove traps and the racial restriction really hurt this class imho. Though I noticed in Solo's Glain Companion he allows half-humans to be Assassins. I wonder why that wasn't added to the supplement. Anyways your ideas sh...

Re: Assassins

This is how I would do it: 1. Since poison is a save or die effect, do most folks here think it's okay for the Assassin to be able to buy poisons or think they should make it themselves? Buy it on illegal places and risk prison or worse. 2. GMs, do you put any sorts of limits on the Assassination a...

Assassins

Not sure if this should be posted under the Assassin's supplement sub forum or not. If this is the wrong spot I apologize. Wanted to get some player's and DM's feeback on how this class is handled in your games in terms of Assassination and Poison to be specific. 1. Since poison is a save or die eff...
