Re: Todd's video "Demons and Dragons - Thou Shalt Not Steal"

It was gone on DTRPG earlier today, I got the "Your loot is another cave" message they use for deleted content.
Now, it is back with revisions.
Probably acceptable under CC-BY-SA, just lame.

Re: Todd's video "Demons and Dragons - Thou Shalt Not Steal"

Great job on the video!

I guess a public shaming is a more effective measure in this case than a lawsuit.

DTRPG has taken the PDF down already.
Even if it comes back in a license-compliant way, I hope there is enough information out there so people will get the original instead.

BFRPG rules rip-off with potential license violation

I haven't posted here in a while, but I saw this today as a "new" publication on DriveThrughRPG and wanted to bring it to attention: https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/473128/demons-dragons If you look at the preview, this is a verbatim copy of the BFRPG rules 4th edition text wit...

Re: 1st level Magic User

There is also this four year old blog post by Solomoriah which addresses the issue: https://basicfantasy.org/blog/?p=151 And if you find that low level play is too lethal for your taste, you can always start PCs with more experience. 5,000 xp puts most characters at level 3 and there is still a long...

Re: What I've been reading lately

Thanks for sharing this.
Vance is also one of my favorite authors.
I actually played DnD long before discovering Jack Vance and I only got to liking "Vancian magic" after reading his story "Mazirian the Magician".

Tam returns the grin: "Glad to be of service."
He follows Gombuks lead.

Re: Adventures in Ravenstone [IC]

"I guess in this part of the city, nobody wonders about corpses in the gutter..."

Tam shrugs and puts his axe away.

"To the docks!"

Re: Adventures in Ravenstone READ THIS FIRST[OOC]

Cool.

I like the original premise, i.e., being an agent of what passes for the "law" tasked to uncover anti-slavery activists.
So we can keep going in that direction.
