Re: Ye Olde Illustrations

I havn't seen you around in a while. Good to see you dropping in again. :D
Great Stuff (as always). Don't worry about size... big is good so Solo and Chi can scale down themselves when something might get utilized. If they need something specific done, they would message you.

Re: Welcome to the Basic Fantasy RPG Forums!

Greetings everyone. I'm Prowler, a Swede who migrated all the way to Poland. I started playing RPG's some 20+ years ago, but have yet to experience any level-based games with XP, levels, armor class and all that jazz. My background lies in BRP-derivatives and similar systems. I'm a bit of a "f...

Re: Ronins

I agree with Seven. I also use a Thug class. It is a Thief subclass nerfed a bit on thief abilities but beefier on fighting. They are a little less flexible with skills, but arguably nearly as hardy as fighters, making them quite useful... definitely not "small and petty". In fact they mak...

Re: Hex Mapping Symbols

This site seems to have some great examples to emulate: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?14958-Old-School-Hex-D-amp-D-Maps Bog is generally land... mushy and broken up with little bodies of water. Difficult to navigate, but do-able. While true swamp is similar but more waterways ...

Re: Hex Mapping Symbols

More tree/forest types. Personally, I think there should be symbols for Tropical (palm or coconut type trees) and a Bamboo sort of tree symbol (this one is especially not well represented). Bogs, swamps, swampy forests (cypress). Some symbols to represent barrens, desert, badlands, etc. Within this ...

Re: Small group house rules

I don't believe you should modify the rules to accommodate your players... instead I think it would be better to modify the encounters by scaling down, either numbers of foes, alternate lower HD foes when possible (instead of Ogre make it a brutish Gnoll, instead of Orcs make them goblins or kobolds...

Re: Priest (cleric sub-class)

Here ya go, but I have not looked at this in quite a while. Not even sure if it is the right "version/release". But if you need a start point for something it should help out. Bear in mind that I believe work on this paused in order to work on the Libram Magica Supplement, where the spell ...

Re: Priest (cleric sub-class)

This is old work, so I might need to dig a little for original files. Not at my desktop pc right now, but will look for this later.
