Re: MapMatic +2
Also here are some alternatives to the small barrel. I think I actually like the dark one most personally, but I'll leave which one gets picked up to someone else.

Re: MapMatic +2
I finally got around to making these. I hope I got everything right. Let me know if I need to change anything, or if anything weird stands out, or if you just want me to redo any of them.

Re: Basic Fantasy Field Guide Volume 1
R44 still has the OGL at the end. Is that correct, or should it be the CC?

Re: IF HoM vs S&W Monstrosities???
S&W Monstrosities is great, as is Chi's suggestion. You will get lots of duplicates going the monstrosities route, but also lots of variants and new creatures. CC1 will be only new creatures, but is not formatted as neatly imo.

This one? It doesn’t fit your description exactly, but it’s as close as I can find. There’s a lot more flame in this one.

Re: MapMatic +2
I have some ideas for mapping tiles including some that can be used for overland maps. I enjoy working in GIMP so I can make the images myself, but what size image do you need and what other constraints are there?

Re: Saving Throws
Kind of. They are static saves whereas PF's are modifiers gauged against a DC. The trouble is, the DCs are a pain to work out (compared to BFRP). E.g. 10+ 1/2 Spellcaster's level, and other modifiers. I think I'm just going to stick with BRFP's optional saving throws and apply racial modifiers like...

Re: Any advice for a new OSR GM regarding converting AC?
The easiest way is to find that particular monster in the system you plan to use. If that isn't possible, the monster's Hit Dice tell you just about everything you need to know: Attack bonus, saving throws, HP, experience, etc. can be found in the tables in the core rulebook all based on HD As for A...

Re: Weapon Attributes
In my games I don't differentiate weapons with armor types. Instead I do: Swords get +1 to attack bonus and AC Axes get exploding damage dice (roll again on max damage, and add.) maces/hammers/flails get "advantage" (roll twice take highest) to damage rolls. Everything else is normal. Dagg...
