Re: Two questions

Thank you Solo, that clears things up a lot.

Really I'm starting to think I might just go with Morgans fort over the keep, but it's going to be a while before I get started so I'll have plenty of time to think about it.

Re: Two questions

Wow, lots of responses for what I though was just going to be a quick yes or no... Old school style is more than just the setting, its a frame of mind. If you truly want to get a taste then you should play in a game, rather than run one. I also think its a good idea for people who want to understand...

Two questions

I don't really have time to elaborate at the moment, so let me jump straight to the point. Two questions: 1. I want to run the keep on the borderlands module for the purposes of experience old school play proper. If I were to use basic fantasy as opposed to the old system, would I get at least a com...

Re: Design question

To answer the question, I was primarily asking why having a combat opponent that's a playable race (like humans) must use the same rules as PC's for combat. Though the other posts here have answered that question. I was just confused since that makes creating those particular combatants harder to ad...

Design question

So I'm setting up a random monster table to an upcoming campaign, and I wanted to put bandits on the chart, but noticed that there weren't any monster entries for any of the major races. Later in the book I read about NPC parties and saw that bandits should just be level 1 fighters. I guess that mak...

A question for supplement creation

I'm getting ready to create a campaign world to use as a base for more sandbox campaigns (much like pathfinders Inner Sea setting, or even the old Mystara setting). I just have one major question. When writing my document, should I structure it as an adventure using the adventure template, or should...

Re: Help with special abilities

That makes a lot of sense. Thank you. I actually have one more quick question while I'm thinking about it. Do the ability scores (such as strength and what not) ever change, or are they stuck the way they are once assigned (other then the decreases that happen from energy drain and what not).

Help with special abilities

So I just got done reading the rules for this system, and I absolutely love how simple everything is (especially how average lv. 1 hp is less then ten. Don't ask me why I just like systems with small numbers like that). However, there is one rule that completely went over my head, and I was wonderin...
