One shot
Hey guys. I thought I'd share the recorded one shot I'm DMing for some guys. Please don't criticize me too much...it's only my 4th time DMing, and my other sessions were really just thrown together. So in the videos I'm still learning Basic Fantasy and all the ins and outs of the supplements. The re...

Re: Damage Reduction
Well this has been a fantastic conversation, and I really appreciate evervybodies input. You've all convinced me to simply stick to the core rules. Thanks! I feel better equipped to explain this mechanic to my players now.

Damage Reduction

I'm asking because, in my mind, it seems silly that a Fighter wearing plate mail receives the same damage as a Magic User, even though he is harder to h...

Re: Music in your RPG's
I compose the music that will be included in Revolution Virtual Playspace. All generic fantasy based. I love music during rpg sessions. It really helps set the tone. When it comes down to it, you really need a wide variety of types of songs. As a DM, one's job is to immerse the players, and music re...

Re: Moving to a Chromebook - Tips?
Rather than ditching the old winblows laptop, try slapping a flavor of Gnu/Linux on there. Depend ing on the age of the laptop, you might be able to run some pretty nice looking distributions. I've been using Linux exclusively for years.

I've run a few mini dungeons using 3D VTT software, but as a whole I'm new to DMing and tabletop gaming. So glad I found BFRPG!
