The pound-o-dice is a great way to start. I made seven complete sets from the one I bought, granted not matched sets, but still a great way to have spare sets for loaners or whatever.

The player and I discussed the subject the other night and we decided to continue using my way (half damage). After all a 16 STR score the +3 enchantment equates to a minimum of 6hp of damage per blow.
Green slime tainted skeletons,Hmmmmm.

That was my basic reasoning for my explanation. As for damage the total including modifiers is divided in half is what I normally use.

Enchanted weapon vs. Undead

While finishing up a gaming session this weekend one of my players asked me if his sword +1,+3 vs. undead does full or half damage against skeletons. I replied half damage and he brought up the point that if the weapon was made to specifically battle undead that it should do full weapon type damage....
