Re: Backgrounds, Specialties, and Quasi Classes-

So sorry to get to this so late.
I'm caught up in other things.

I think it makes sense to move it to General until I have something more to show you. I have a lot of this, but I'm not sure it is ready for general consumption.

Thanks,

Re: Sharing Your Quasi-Class Characters-

Not intended as anything more than a showcase for the Q-Cs and the various Options at work. I thought of it as a demonstration of the Workshop.

If you think it should be moved, please do.

Re: Backgrounds, Specialties, and Quasi Classes-

I can imagine it can get pretty complicated when one begins to think in terms of options that one might pick up after a certain level is achieved (mainlyoptions that other classes get at level one). For instance, 9th level Paladin getting clerical spells at that point, or "ad&d1 style ranger gettin...

Re: Backgrounds, Specialties, and Quasi Classes-

I think I've licked the Thieves' Skills, and the starting percentages come to 400 points, but I've included Read Dead Languages, and Read Magic Scroll from the Advanced rules to make the math work. ;) Solo , Thanks for the heads up on the Fighter XP progression being the core. I had initially averag...

Re: Backgrounds, Specialties, and Quasi Classes-

A whine: The thing that the building your perfect class articles are n't doing, and ticking me off, is providing the base percentages for Thieves' Skills, nor the percentage increase value. I've a 'per percentage point' cost for each of them, and a host of other skill type things, including a d% bas...

Re: Backgrounds, Specialties, and Quasi Classes-

SmootRK, I most definitely will keep race and class separate. I'm glad you can see use for this in the BFRPG community. I'll keep posting updates. Next batch of questions: 1). Q: Do we have the basic XP ladder that the Mod XP get multiplied against, like 400, 2k, etc. [Rewritten for clarity and sani...

Re: Backgrounds, Specialties, and Quasi Classes-

It is a system that allows the player to build as they go, including emulating existing classes, just as you have illustrated. I first published this in 2009, and am revising it and making it backward compatible with BFRPG.

Thanks for BasicD20 and your input.
