Finished reading a few days ago: The Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson. Good book.

Listening to: Swamped by Lacuna Coil. Decent goth rock.

The Earthsea Quintet actually. The fifth book is often sadly forgotten. I would consider that series to be a masterpiece of its time. One of my favorites. The best books are the fourth and fifth, with their vague style. Lots of well-used symbolism. So yes, I like them. Also, Listening to: Halestorm-...

Either way is fine by me, but I won't be able to be on as much as I could at one time. So if I slow the game down, I have no problem with quitting. I just don't have much free time. My apologies.

I just want to say that I agree wholeheartedly with Solo's view on magic resistance. It is not a good mechanic at all IMO.

I know of what you speak. I have relatives in the northeast who observe such traditions. I have heard many wonderful things about Spaetzle, but sadly, I have never gotten to try it.

Lords of the Rings is decent work, but there are other writers and series out there that I enjoy reading more. To name some: Susan Cooper, Lloyd Alexander, Ursula K. Leguin, Tamora Pierce, Chris D'lacey, Stuart Hill. Not to say that Tolkien isn't an excellent writer, but I often think too much credi...
