Re: Basic Fantasy Field Guide
If I had to guess, the main reason why revising the field guide takes so much time is because you all are operating under a significant constraint: you want any future version of the guide to be available in printed form at Amazon or whatever. So you need to laboriously construct a layout that has l...

Re: Basic Fantasy Field Guide
If there is an actual Wogg (I am thinking it was actually Worg), then it is new from Medieval Man or another such recent contributor. From the R3 'New' file posted yesterday, but now removed: Wogg Armor Class: 13 (12) Hit Dice: 1 No. of Attacks: 1 weapon Damage: 1d8 or by weapon Movement: 30’ Unarm...

Re: Basic Fantasy Field Guide
For what it's worth, here's the canonical list of all 177 monsters that have appeared in Field Guides R2, R3 (now R4), and R3 'new'. I don't think any monsters are missing from this list, although a decision may be made later by others to remove some from this list. Aboleth Allip Ankheg Ant Lion, Gi...

Re: Basic Fantasy Field Guide
Beren, can you see my posts? I have several replies that should have relevance in your subsequent posts but I feel like they are ignored. Perhaps I am on an ignore list, and why? I don't know, because I do not believe I have actually had interactions with you. Yes, I can see all your posts! I'm sor...

Re: Basic Fantasy Field Guide
Here are some clarifications from Beren's list: OK, this is helpful. So Should be added: Bog Crone Heucova Worghest Chelonian (was Kappa) Should be removed because they're 3e ports: Devourer Skeleton, Blackbone Skeleton, Warrior Tarrasque New, but not sure of inclusion: Tentacled Horror Wogg(?, you...

Re: Basic Fantasy Field Guide
Argh. I see what happened. *All* of the Nazgorian monsters, which were filed under 'Nazgorian' in R3, had the 'Nazgorian' descriptor removed in their name for R3 'new', and were just filed under other names: Digester Eelbat Frogman Gray Render Hydramander Spiderwolf So those monsters weren't removed...
