Re: Custom races and sub-races.

i believe second edition did something similar to that. i believe humans had an option, where they could start leveling up in another class. they would automatically loose all their abilities tied to their previous class, but once their level in the new class matched that of their old class, they wo...

Re: 4e monster cpnversion

Don't use the monsters from Pathfinder... They are mean :) I think they only edition bias you are going to find here might be from 4e, not to say the creatures aren't cool.. The zombie that tears pieces of itself off to throw at you, that's kind of badass. But it really would be hard to nail down w...

Re: 4e monster cpnversion

Not that im saying that basic fantasy is a bad game (I honestly do like it), but i think 3.x is the best out of all editions, bc it allows the most customization. my biggest gripe about 4th is that it removed multi-classing. i do like the fact that it simplified the game and made everything a bit qu...

Re: Custom races and sub-races.

the book does clearly state that a PC can be turned into a vampire, but it gives no details on how exactly this works.

Re: Custom races and sub-races.

Yeah, I was thinking that vampirism and lycanthropy would work best as classes, especcially since its something that typically comes about later in your character's life. It would also help to solve the hit die problem a bit.

Custom races and sub-races.

I would like to know if there are any rules for making custom races. Some of the races i want to create are either from other settings, my own imagination, or appear as monsters in the book. I would also like to know how to make a character a vampire. They appear as monsters, but it says nothing abo...
