Re: Low Fantasy / Low Magic / Swords & Sorcery using BFRPG?

I haven't, but I can think some options. For armors you can remove them and use the defense bonus from the combat supplement, or remove some of the higher protective armor and increase the AC value of the remaining ones unless you want a more lethal game. Magic is where more options start to appear:...

Re: Feedback for small addition to Fighters

Form the combat supplement thread: existence123: "Do you guys give weapon specializations to fighters only, or to all optional classes in the fighter category (paladins, rangers, etc.)?" Hywaywolf: "Its pretty straight forward in the supplement. weapons specialization specifically states that it is ...

Re: Feedback for small addition to Fighters

I'm just worried about the lack of growth for fighters which isn't linked to showering them with magic items. A Fighter's growth is based on his ability to withstand damage and to strike more often but there are some options lying around on the forum. If using the combat options the Fighter reaches...

Re: Feedback for small addition to Fighters

There is a game with a name that sounds like "axe", it gives fighters a +1 damage bonus for every 3 levels, I wouldn't go higher than that.

Re: Cleric Domains and Specialist Magic Users

There is the Specialist Clerics Supplement but I can't remember if it deals with dividing the spells into spheres. Other tan that I think there is none, BFRPG tends to avoid codifying things.

Re: Drowning

For swimming I would go with rules similar to climbing, 1 roll per 100 feet, water current could modify the distance while encumbrance, armor and the water flow could impose penalties to the roll. Character that know how to swim should have higher values that other characters, my quasi-class "savage...

Re: Holy Water and the rules

Unholy water would damage "holy" creatures like celestials, maybe it could harm high level clerics and other "holy" characters

Re: Drowning

There are lots of possibilities here, not counting swimming rules You could make characters be able to hold their breath for a 1+Con bonus rounds, with quick preparation they can add a d6 roll to that value, with good prep roll 1d3+3 instead. Once time has run out character starts drowning. -You can...

Re: Holy Water and the rules

Holy/Consecrated Oil could have a stronger effect if its more expensive or harder to do, maybe a damage bonus or lasting some time like fire or acid... Flaming Holy/Consecrated Oil could exist by using some other kind of oil, similar to supernatural's holy oil, and could have a similar effect unless...

Re: BFRPG Ebook or EPUB

LibreOffice should let you convert the odt files into epub directly without recurring to the pdf or other programs

There was a Tablet Friendly version that could been helpful but is no longer available.
