Re: Ability Rolls
I used to use the BFRPG default, and liked it a lot but I really don't think it puts enough weight into the abilities. Though the standard under on a d20 puts to much. I like the multiple d6 approach to ability checks. 2d6 for easy, 3d6 for average and 4d6 for difficult. It seems to me if abilities ...

Re: T1-4 Temple of Elemental Evil
They do fix and tidy the PDFs up from time to time. When there are revisions they let you know via email and you can pick up the improved version at no additional cost. As a side note It was my total frustration attempting to translate T1-4 into 3.5 that led me, first attempt to make a rules light v...

Re: Chapter 1 - The Farmer's Lost a Wife
Scathias pulls his short bow and an arrow, then heads out the door to see the wolf riders. He holds the arrow nocked in the string but pointed down with no tension as he walks.

Re: Chapter 1 - The Farmer's Lost a Wife
Scathius stands quietly and listens to what is said. When the talking is done he sets the drink untouched on the desk and walks down the stairs to wait for the others.

Re: Chapter 1 - The Farmer's Lost a Wife
The cloaked elf stands looking over the others with an almost predatory stare he turns and heads up the stairs. He knew little of humans, beyond his mothers warnings. He was not sure what drew him into this town, but the promise of gold was enough to keep him here, for now anyway. He shoulders past ...

Re: Character Creation
I know it talks about read magic at the beginning of the spell section but there is no such spell in the list. I think Read Languages fills the read magic roll.

Re: Finding Find Familiar
How about this. Maybe too much for a first level spell? Find Familiar Level: 1 Duration: See below Range: 10’ per level When a magic-user cast this spell he beckons a familiar. Find familiar takes 24 hours to cast and requires the expenditure of 100 gold pieces worth of herbs and ingredients. The co...

Re: Character Creation
I would prefer to make my own rolls where appropriate. I like my fate being in my own hands. Even though I am about the most unlucky die roller there is.

Re: Character Creation
Joe, I could use a money roll please. Gimme the money!
Just a thought here but I had a game going on a site without a die roller and we used Myth-Weavers just to roll dice.
