Re: Boxed Text and Bullet Points: Room 16 of the Old Island Fortress
In a lot a ways, this is one of those "you're having fun wrong!" sorts of arguments where people get all wound up that someone is doing something different from their preferred approach. Personally, I prefer the bullet point style, but I'll admit that sometimes it can be a little too spars...

Re: The 4th Edition Question
This seems like an “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” situation. If supplements and adventures have never had editions identified on them, and the new rules edition maintains compatibility, why start now? It just seems like it will add confusion. If it becomes a problem, you can always add an edition...

At least you don't have to write it out a hundred times on the blackboard...

Re: A Manifesto of Sorts, which is a Plan as well
Lest the various sites hosting the d20 SRD decide to go dark, I found this git repo with HTML and ODT versions: https://github.com/orey/srd-3.5 It might be handy to clone that repo. There is also an archive of the original WOTC RTF versions of the SRD documents on archive.org: https://archive.org/d...

Re: A Manifesto of Sorts, which is a Plan as well
Where can we find the SRD we would need to compare to? Is there an official/authoritative version we would want to look at?

Re: Two Book Release Announcement
I'd like to work on this with you. I feel like the "steam tunnel" side of the story is where I'd like to see the heroes come from, while the "bad guys" come from the "tract" side. The characters are virtually ready-made there. That would be great. I think the "tra...

Re: Two Book Release Announcement
I read Michigan State University had some D&D players acting out their game in steam tunnels below the university. One D&D player, a troubled young man named James Dallas Egbert (you can check his name on Wikipedia for a much better synopsis) disappeared, in the tunnels in 1979. The James D...

Re: Two Book Release Announcement
I was thinking it would be fun to have it dovetail into the Solomoriah's existing material, which I really like as a setting. With a whole town and so many NPCs, I like the idea of it starting as a bit of a mystery scenario rather than a straight up dungeon crawl. Setting-wise, I'm thinking Chambers...

Re: Two Book Release Announcement
Thanks for the positive feedback! I just spent 20 minutes googling maps of university steam tunnels, so I guess the seed has been planted. No promises, but I might try to start sketching something out. Unfortunately, this may require me to watch Mazes and Monsters... Just noticed the map of downtown...

Re: Two Book Release Announcement
Ordered the Iron Falcon ‘75 as soon as I learned of it’s existence, and it arrived today. Obviously, I haven’t played it yet, but it looks like a hoot. I love how you made it flexible enough to it be both a portal fantasy and a magic and monsters exist in the real world game. There are so many cool ...
