Conversion Requirements
I was interested in converting a series of D&D Basic Revised, also known as Rules Cyclopedia, Adventures known as Thunder Rift. I did intend to use different maps, make sure that monsters fit the Basic Fantasy statistics, and make minor changes, however, I'm particularly concerned about copyrigh...

Re: Low Level Survival
As I see it, you can start a campaign of level 1 characters in one of two ways, which naturally lead to one of two expectations for a campaign. Way One: You have combat at level 1, risk is present from the beginning. Events are expected to always be risky and players to be careful. This could be cal...

Re: Swashbucklers Supplement
Release 4 has been uploaded to the first post. Includes two Appendices. Appendix A being an optional Dueling Styles to replace the damage bonus. Appendix B includes selections from Combat Options that may make sense for the archetype of a Swashbuckler.

Re: Swashbucklers Supplement
This is were I am currently at with my changes: Strength requirement of 9, restriction on character types is optional, added some clarification on what is a one-handed melee weapon, added Tumble, Enthrall starts slightly higher, but ends at the same number, Distract is currently down by a small amou...

Re: Swashbucklers Supplement
Dwarves aren't on the list because of the restriction on Charisma. Otherwise, I would have put them on. I felt that Charisma was a fundamental factor in being a Swashbuckler. The racial adjustments on Enthralling are not taking the target's race into account. I am leaving it to the GM to determine i...

Re: Swashbucklers Supplement
A few more revisions were made after looking some more at other examples. Charisma requirement was reduced to 11. A note was added that Distract and Enthrall may have additional effects at the GM's discretion. Distract's bonus to attack and damage was changed to a flat +2. Piercing Strike was replac...

Re: Swashbucklers Supplement
Alright, so I've made corrections to the typos. I've also looked at other subclasses and am currently going with a reduction of 5 for Open Locks, Remove Traps, Climb Walls, and Listen. Now on Piercing Strike, its bonus to damage is from the Dexterity Score (not modifier), this means a minimum of a +...

Swashbucklers Supplement
Alright, so here's the second supplement that I came up with. This is a Swashbuckler as a subclass of Thief.

Character Advancement Optional Rules
I only recently found this. I had been interested in a more classic style of role-playing and decided to give it a look. There were a few things that I was interested to see in the game, several of which others had already covered, but a few that didn't seem to have anything on. So I gathered those ...
