Re: Under the Slumbering Rock Solo Adventure

That's exactly what I've seen done.

Some things can be handled with a table, for example, instead of having a trap in a particular chest, there can be a certain chance of each chest being trapped and you roll on a table what the particular trap is. Odds might differ.

Re: Core Rules Italian Translation

I wondered if you sell all the books on every Amazon sites.
I've only ever sold used books. I run into certification issues from time to time.
It's probably a different experience.

Re: How fleeing and chasing works?

There's a number of factors, like have the players secured an exit route, do they have some tricks ready for a forced retreat like bait, treasures (real or fake), caltrops, marbles, diversionary spells, etc... Otherwise, it's just a plain race and guys in armor are typically not good at that. Otherw...

Re: Does Maximum HP remain the same when characters level up?

I'm not sure I understand.

Let's say I start with 6HP, the maximum.
At the second level I would roll 2 die and if I roll 6 or less my maximum HP does not go up?
I don't think I would like that.

Re: Who is Derej The Mage???

I cases like that, I just rename the creature or the item.
Well, actually, I don't name them at all. I let the players figure a name for them.

Tanks Al.

It would be nice if all the monster stats were given, including for all the leaders on both sides.

I imagine the orcs are mostly a diversion for the hill giant assault.

Re: Blasting Rod

Dresden makes me think of Slaughterhouse-Five. Generally, I let the item hold the charge, not the user. So, I'd get the Magic-User to cast an offensive spell on the rod to charge it. I wouldn't let the damage increase with the spell level. That's not how shotguns work. I'd just let the shotgun hold ...

Re: a plan for a solo adventure

There was an official solo module that used invisible ink. I don't think that adds much. You can work from a dungeon map. The main difference is that you don't have only entries for each room but also entries for each decision taken. Having access to the map is not necessary a spoiler, the stairs an...
