I'm just looking for tips on pacing and storytelling during overland travel. Sometimes I feel that I rush this part of the game, and the players do too. Overland travel really intrigues me, and I want it to be a meaningful part of the game.

My understanding of hit dice is that they generate a monsters HP and that they are roughly considered the monster's "level" Do you roll the hit dice for every individual monster in an encounter to generate each individual a max HP even if they are the same kind of monster? Also do monsters...

So my players love miniatures, and I have a ton of them. My issue is we map dungeons on a dry erase battle map with a 1square=10 feet scale. (to allow larger dungeons to fit).
