Re: Basic Science-Fantasy Roleplaying?

Same setting, but with a more gamist rule system; I love TSGS for online games but not so much in person.

Assassination only applies to creatures that have and need vital organs.

Public Appearance Today: MallCon, Quincy, IL

I'll be at the Quincy Mall in about two hours to run Dungeon of Kyros for whoever shows up. Looking forward to it... haven't done much Basic Fantasy in a while.

Wish you all could be there!

Re: Basic Science-Fantasy Roleplaying?

I have a retro sci fi/alternate history game called Space Force that I've worked on for years, but I need playtesters, and have not been able to get 5 at one time (the optimum number for testing this game). It's not a class-and-level game, but rather a "skills lite" system.

Someday maybe.

Re: Mapmatic

Glad you got it! Sometimes MapMatic can be tricky... it helps to know that squares are rendered (drawn) from left to right, then top to bottom, and the edges draw over each other.

Re: Diagonal squares and distance

Every second space entered diagonally counts as two spaces. It's not far from correct and works well in play, so it's how I've done it for years (since before BFRPG).

I couldn't tell... he wasn't real clear on that.

:D :D :D

Kidding. Glad you like the game, and welcome! (In case you didn't know, I'm the author.)

They have to be nice, or I beat them severely. :D Seriously, I don't know how all this niceness happened. And you are welcome. I'd answer your original post in detail, but everyone else has done so for me and done it quite well. So thanks to you guys for taking care of the place while I've been busy!
