Re: Awarding XP for exploration

Instead of using the Gold = XP option, I've started giving the party 100 xp for exploring a new hex, and 50 xp per room in a dungeon, on top of the monster XP. Not bad. This gives a nice low-level bonus while not affecting higher level groups much, since the award does not scale to the character le...

Re: Awarding XP

Metroknight's approach is the way it's "supposed" to work. The GM can do as he or she pleases, of course.

Re: Is there a world map for Glain?

Now to figure out where those three adventures are located at! Fortress of the Iron Duke is set in Duchy Freestead, which (like all smaller political units) isn't shown on the world map. Freestead is in Enterone, in the foothills of the mountains at the eastern end of the Enterone-Roslane border. N...

Re: Project Priorities

AA2 is ready to go, I just haven't gotten it done. It's a pain, honestly, and I didn't want the disruption before Christmas. Maybe soon.

Re: AA2 Adventure Anthology 2

We still have too many names...

Though I noticed in Solo's Glain Companion he allows half-humans to be Assassins.
The Assassin supplement is older than Half Humans. Nobody ever went back and corrected it.

I'd likely handle tech on a case-by-case basis; as for aliens, not sure yet.

Re: Slateholm Nights

Slateholm was built originally on a rocky outcropping rising at most a few dozen feet above the brackish marshland near the place where a minor branch of a minor river emptied into the bay. Indeed, the city was named for the first house built on the dark stone of the outcrop. Stories tell that the m...

Re: Slateholm Nights

One thing that I want to avoid is overly-detailed NPCs. It's as bad as under-detailed NPCs. For most shopkeepers and such, one or two sentences should be enough to describe personality and goals. Major NPCs should still be able to be described in at most a couple of paragraphs. Too much info is bad,...
