Are there optional rules for modifying clerical spells into domains and magic-user spells into abjuration, conjuration, summoning, etc? I never used to like giving out xp for gold pieces until I read that it gives the DM a lot of control over how fast or slow characters level up. Each 1 gp you hand out is 1 xp you hand out.

My only complaint with BFRP is that it doesn't capture the old school feel that BX has. I know it says it cleaves toward 3.5 but for me, it's much closer to BX (and that's a positive).
