Re: The Bear Dungeon - Newbie Module

Thanks for the compliment and I look forward to seeing it in AA3. Attached should be the final revision as I added "Clever_Munkey" to the credits for his help.

Once I get more playing under my belt I'd like to produce another adventure one a little longer and more of a compelling story.

Re: The Bear Dungeon - Newbie Module

Polishing off the module:

Followed some of the suggestions from Clever_Munkey.
Removed one of the bear images to get the PDF back down to 5 pages.
Re-rolled the Black Bear HP so its a little less overwhelming for level 1 players
Changed the Bear Den door to a boulder - makes more sense.

Re: The Bear Dungeon - Newbie Module

Thanks for reading through my little adventure and taking the time to proof it. I plan on incorporating some of your ideas when I work up finishing up the module this weekend. Like the idea of not killing of the party by forcing the bear interaction. Going to leave the secret room though to teach pl...

Re: Adventure template

Would a LaTex template for BFRPG modules be worth the effort? I came across a D&D 5e version here:

https://github.com/evanbergeron/DND-5e-LaTeX-Template

LaTex markup is not for the faint of heart and it requires a more complicated setup then LibreOffice.

Re: The Bear Dungeon - Newbie Module

I agree - I preach that all the time in my work. Get the content completed first then worry about layout. I will have some free time this weekend and will see I can get this little adventure fleshed out and completed.

Re: The Bear Dungeon - Newbie Module

Chi does all the whitespace bother you? When I installed the fonts I noticed the spacing changed a lot and I tried to "squeeze" it back down to 5 pages. Maybe I can fatten up the story with a typical Kobold guard at the entrance or something.

Re: The Bear Dungeon - Newbie Module

Going to go through and double check the fonts. Chi thanks for the link. I was having a hard time maintaining the document "style". Don't know if it is an issue with LibreOffice 5 but every time I open document the formatting seems different. Especially around the images. Maybe I can have ...

Re: The Bear Dungeon - Newbie Module

That would be great to have the module published. If you want to change any of the art work please feel free. I downloaded most of the images from a Creative Commons search and did the cellar entrance and strige myself. If you can get permission from Andy that would be great to keep the images consi...

Re: The Bear Dungeon - Newbie Module

I went through and made all the changes and made a pretty weak Stirge image myself. Probably best to draw it by hand then scan :-) Im going to work on making a better one.

Re: The Bear Dungeon - Newbie Module

I'll take out Andy's artwork and see if I can find or draw something myself. For some reason I thought the Core book and images were all creative commons. The first two images are creative commons and third I made myself.
