Re: CS2 The Dark Temple

No problem. I was experimenting a bit with this anyway, so I'm happy with doing a few more variations.

Re: CS2 The Dark Temple

I saw the page with just room 17 and 18 and figured that though drawing the whole level isometric was more or less impossible, it should be easier to do two rooms.

Something like this maybe.

Re: The Dark Temple CONTEST ENTRY THREAD

Ok, here is the middle level (XCF file in project dir). I have not made any attempts to handle elevation, i.e. just reproduced the original map. middle_level.png Please let me know if you spot errors etc. Since a scanner is involved in the process, I have split details (room numbering, stairs, traps...

Re: The Dark Temple CONTEST ENTRY THREAD

Yes, l'll happily do the flat version so there is complete set.

If I or someone else figure a way to add a way to show elevation nicely, that is a bonus.

Re: The Dark Temple CONTEST ENTRY THREAD

I want to contribute something to this event though I was not up to writing an adventure. And since there seem to be plenty of much better illustrations coming in at the moment (quite a lot of impressive art) I made an attempt at doing the maps by hand (and Gimp editing). Note that I have skipped th...

Re: Equipment Emporium Supplement

Okay, you caused me brain damage there, Borgar. I started out to fix EE and it was already fixed... confusing. Then I thought, maybe he got the books mixed up, so I checked the other two and it's only "Olson" in AA2. So it's that book, and not EE, that needs redone, right? Yes (and I see you...

Re: Equipment Emporium Supplement

I'm very happy to be a contributor the new releases.

Though I seem to have gone swedish in the EE now. I should be credited as "Borgar Olsen" (not Olson). It's correct in AA2 and CS1 btw.

Re: Spellbook Generator Prototype

Couldn't resists playing around with this so here is an example of a simple template based conversion. I stripped the spell info for a single spell (Magic Missile) into a YAML file and created a "text" and "latex" converter templates. The included script (spell_to_text.pl) uses the text template (sp...

Re: Spellbook Generator Prototype

I was actually answering (late) to Pholus original entry.
I am very sorry to use such odd programming choices, but you go with what you know
Python has an actually syntax, not sure what I'd call what perl has.

Re: Spellbook Generator Prototype

I forgot to add that I can get the this to work using Cygwin (cygwin.org) which more or less install a unix system on Windows. I just made sure the installation included the _texlive_ packages. texlive-collection-latex texlive-collection-latexextra texlive-collection-latexrecommended BTW, I would no...
