Just saw the monster guidebook and gave it a quick scan -- I really like it.
I saw the question of art came up. For me, it's not essential. As long as the layout is clear and clean (as it currently is), I'm a happy camper and nothing else matters for me.

On the referee's screen, there actually is a line for the sword, with the damage vs. man and vs. large, it's just that the word "sword" is missing from that row (the row between "spear, thrust vs. charge" and "two-handed sword"). Don't know if that helps at all. P.S. (E...

I really like the adjustment to the attack matrix. I think the gradual increments are both more logical and more fun (I find it can be a drag waiting multiple levels to get a bump in your chances to hit as in the original).
