Re: Character Sheet with Single Save
It definitely is, I much prefer a single save, although I know it's not for everyone.

Re: Character Sheet with Single Save
That'd be great, could you post it here?

Character Sheet with Single Save
I prefer to use the single save from the Saving Throw Options supplement (if you've not tried it, I'd recommend giving it a go). As there are no other character sheets that seem to support that, here's one I put together. Its A4 landscape and two sided, although the front page has all the essentials...

d6 based Skill System
A couple of months back I wrote up my suggestion for a skills system ( http://www.basicfantasy.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2291 ). Based on some of the feedback I got to rethinking what I had presented and realised there were quite a few flaws with it, particularly the way I had handled thie...

Re: Saving Throw Options
In the end I decided to go with the single saving throw option. Three sessions in and it works fine.. there may have been edge cases where a roll may have succeeded under the 5 categories, but I think that's a small price to pay for the simplicity. There have been no complaints from the players eith...

Re: Saving Throw Options
Has anyone used either of these Saving Throw alternative systems? I'm considering using them myself (most likely the single throw version)... I find using the original 5 saving throw categories unintuitive... they're handy when a published adventure tells you exactly which one to use, but otherwise ...

Re: Combat Options Supplement
A quick question to clear up something in this supplement. When a new weapon specialization is chosen it always starts at Rank 1, independent of the fighter's level? Is that right? So a fighter at level 10 could have Rank 3 Longsword and Rank 1 Great Axe, or any combination of ranks with 4 differen...

Re: Scouts Supplement
Higher level bow usage has not been playtested; I'd say it's okay if you are also using Combat Options, but it may be a bit much otherwise. I see no specific issues with combos involving Magic-User/Scouts. Thanks, I'll try this out as M-U/Scout combo class. It'll be a while before we reach high lev...

Re: Scouts Supplement
I'm thinking of using this class in a game this weekend, but I have a couple of questions. - Doesn't the +2 attack bonus and extra attacks at level 5 with bows make Scouts better combatants than fighters, or is there an assumption that fighters have weapon specialization for this to work? - Is there...
