Re: ¡Basic Fantasy en español!
* standard note about I'm not a lawyer or any kind of expert, do at your own risk, speak with an actual lawyer if you're in doubt, etc. etc. * I presume what Kerc is doing is a literal translation of BFRPG into Spanish, and with Solo's permission can still label it as BFRPG, use Product Identity, e...

Re: ¡Basic Fantasy en español!
Solo, that makes sense. I went and read up some more on copyright and realize this is a very bad idea. On a related license note, although the 3.5 SRD was never translated into Spanish (or maybe any other language, for that matter), it appears the 5ed SRD is currently being officially translated int...

Re: Welcome to the Basic Fantasy RPG Forums!
Hey everyone, I was trying to decide on a system for a new campaign after a long hiatus from TTRPGs. So, I came here on a recommendation from Living 4 Crits, and got sucked into participating immediately. The funny thing is I might not even use the system for my campaign  , but my experience wi...

Re: Google Docs vs. ODT?
I just coincidentally did a ton of research on libre fonts for the project from the perspective of finding acceptable fonts for LibreOffice, which means I have already spent a lot of time comparing the glyph charts available on myfonts.com ( here's an example for Friz-Quad ) to the glyph charts on G...

Re: ¡Basic Fantasy en español!
As far as I can tell, B/X was never officially published in Spanish. The first edition in that language was Mentzer. So that makes this translation extra special!

Re: Basic Fantasy Project Submission Guidelines
I'm guessing Aleo is not acceptable either, since it's much pointier than Averia . A pity Quando only had one style.

Re: Basic Fantasy RPG Core Rules 3rd Edition
I was working on preparing a new bookmarked PDF, and I noticed that some of the R107 .odt file alphabetical Index entries were a little wonky. p. 7 - Halfling split into two entries, "Halfl" and "ing." Also, the ToC pages start mismatching here, as Humans and Halflings are listed...

Re: Basic Fantasy Project Submission Guidelines
I am of half a mind to design some fonts...these fonts already have three weights and all the italics we need, they are just missing a Black weight. Do any of them look acceptable? Averia Serif GFW (this one seems slightly more rounded than Averia Serif Libre, and is probably my preference) Averia S...

Re: Basic Fantasy Project Submission Guidelines
This project has motivated me to learn some more about FLOSS fonts. Maybe even more than I ever really wanted to know about 20th century font history . Century Gothic was created as a substitute to Avant Garde . It looks like when Ghostscript was created as a free version of PostScript so FLO...
