I may take a leaf from your book and edit amd clean up some of my previous entries (Cacophony, Moonlight Butterfly) with GIMP to improve them.
Thanks, man! I'm digging your stuff too! Yeah I always scan my images in black and white at 600 dpi, and then color/reduce/crop in Photoshop from there!

coldrage: did you ramp up the contrast or such? they look very bright and washed out. From a straight scan I would first try to adjust the levels, and maybe even use a sketch or paint filter if you're trying to hide some of the paper texture or such.

It's not easy working on some images, and I'm by no means an image editing expert!

I have found that the 'Curves' tool in GIMP is very effective at removing the paper's texture, after which I have used a threshold to convert the image into only B/W, which should hopefully prevent the image from looking washed out.

I have done these two, are they an improvement on the original? I cannot tell my self so I would welcome an opinion

The final image I have to clear up is the Fool's Idol, which may take me a few days due to the original drawing being a mess, as I will probably redraw it.[/color]
