Re: BFRPG Third Level Pregenerated Characters

Post by teaman »

Just posted a major revision to the Pregenerated Characters document. Blazeguard sent me a Dwarf Barbarian, Human Barbarian (Conan, anyone?), and a Human Assassin. The Carven and Wanderwood races are represented as well. We need a Great Way Adept Chelonian sometime soon (Turtle Power!)

Right now, I have the authorship as John Fredericks and Contributors (though I can easily add your real name if you like, Blazeguard).

Also, if other folks want to write up other third level pregens and post them here, I can add them as I get time.

Core Classes and Optional Classes are split into separate sections. Another option is to list all classes by race, not sure which folks would prefer. Hopefully I got the legal stuff right in the OGL.

I like the core and optional classes split, but that's because I rarely use non-core classes ;) OGL looks good, but William Smith's name on 2 lines is killing me :D

Chiisu, if that is a typo on my part, I will fix it when I get home. Though if it is just a small typo, I will probably wait until the next update to post it.

Glad the Core/Optional split works. I'm hoping to get a BUNCH more optional writeups to make this a "Big Book of Pregens" for BFRPG.

If folks want different levels as another poster requested, just donwload the .odt version and levelling up or down shouldn't be too much trouble. I had to pick a starting level, and my preference is third for survivability. YMMV.

Thanks for the pre-gens, John. That makes life much easier.

Thanks Shannon. Also, some other folks contributed to the Optional Classes in the back, so thanks to them as well.

I made this up at first for myself, so I could easily print out stuff for pickup games (real and online).

And if anyone else has characters to contribute based on the other class options here on the site, feel free to post away!

I recently posed a question regarding this supplement in the General forum. Sorry. I honestly never noticed that each download has its own comment thread.

I was questioning the stats for unarmed combat.

I double checked with the rulebook and you are right about the 1d3 and 1d4 for kicking (with a -2 to hit penalty). I'll make a note to fix it, though might take me a few days to get to it.

Thanks for finding that, I didn't mean for it to be a houserule. Hope that the supplement is useful besides the DMG.

Thanks for the clarification.

Actually, I found the supplement very useful, but probably not the way you intended. I am coding a game based on BF and was using your pregenerated characters to test my character creation scripts.

Just uploaded r8 to fix the Brawl/Kick damage issue. Glad to get it right.

Hope folks can use this supplement to make their lives easier. And if you give any of the specialty pregens a try, please let me know. I'd love to see the Carven and Wanderwoods get some playtime.
