Giant Centipede
Everybody loves a mass of armor-hard, squiggly, twitching, segmented limbs. The creep factor here is without measure if properly built up and narrated by the GM. One of Basic Fantasy's star 'save or die' denizens, this giant bug will pop the jump scare and send you screaming home to mommy. I've always been a big believer in sprinkling a dungeon with bugs and lets face it, this is fantasy, so the bugs better be big and tough enough to sometimes do the squashing!
PS - Rock on, Solo. I'm on it!

Re: Old School Ink
I've posted this one elsewhere, but it was made for Basic Fantasy and it fits the thread and I'm trying to post a new, original image at least once every other day. The original adventure concept was written by Dustinian about a frontier town under threat. As a film maker, I appreciate the value of the 'opening wide-shot' at the beginning of a story. Its all downhill if you can establish your players into a real place with sights and sounds and smells into which all your action and crossfire will take place. This illustration doesn't include a lot of detail or fancy textures, but I tried to capture the simplicity and the iconic charm of the early RPG look.
