I have not worked actively on my own alternate setting (BFRPG Apocalypse) in some time, but it is still very promising.
and I know that there is an impending Cthulhu-esque setting coming down the pipe.
I have too many projects running concurrently that I need to attend to,
but, I am wondering if another such alternate setting might be made for BFRPG by one or more of our forum members? I would certainly give some creative input and commentary whenever I can (and is asked for).
Things I would like to see fully developed (but primarily compatible with BFRPG core rules):
Redwall, Mouseguard, Secret of Nihm, Wind & the Willows, or other such inspired setting where the various animals of the forests are anthromorphic (at least to an extent) and have various adventures (minus any human interaction).
Steampunk / NeoVictorian / Monster-Movie - something like the newer Sherlock Holmes movies, mixed with classic monster movies (frankenstein, werewolf, etc), with a sprinkling of steam tech. Savage worlds has something similar but I would remove any such details of the monsters/foes being part of some great evil mega-organization... more free form. Alternatively this could be a Gangbusters/Monsters hybrid instead (roaring 20's with horror).
Pirates, Swashbucklers, and Voodoo - Pirates of Carribean, perhaps with a little more magical stuff and creatures.
I am sure other ideas are out there for some interesting alt-settings.
