Re: Undermountain, the return to Waterdeep.
After taking stock of the store Rykken takes a stroll a few streets over from the shop to visit an old friend. A quick knock on the door and a few seconds of waiting reveal Ole' Prydwyn standing in the now open doorway. Rykken! Hehe, come on in! It's been a while son, I was wondering what had become of you. He's always called Rykken "son" although to his knowledge there is no blood relation. Leading the young man in past the entry area and a few rows of items collected over years of adventuring Prydwyn gestures to a chair. Have a seat while I make us some tea. Tea having been made and handed out he takes a look at the armor and sword that's been brought. Hmmmm, haven't seen any of this in a while. Let me grab something right quick. Walking to a cabinet he pulls out a small wooden ring box and from within draws a single brass ring with an oblong black stone set in it. Placing the ring upon his finger he grasps the armor and sword one at a time. Yup. Useless unless you like to glow. *luagh* Both are just plain armor and sword with a spell placed on them to emit light. There is another spell on each that will keep them from ever getting dirty or rusty. You could probably sell them pretty quickly to some young son of a noble. They like to look battle hardened without the dirt. So tell me what you've been up to.
Opyeen saunters back into the tap room and easily finds one of the folks that caught some of his tossed gold. His slap on the back greeting is met with smiles and laughs. While his new "friend" orders up a round of drinks one of the others, a younger elf, starts pestering for stories of the dungeon. Even though the COS was only below ground for a day (Crap was that all it was???) they have entered an elite group of folks.
Sturm on the other side of the bar is enjoying killing off a keg of Dwarven ale with Kallas. Kallas in turn is laughing and telling stories in kind. Disappearing cleric? Never seen that one although I've seen a few turn and run like they wanted to disappear. *laugh* There was this one back at the Black Saddle range during the last Goblin incursion.... I never thought he'd stop running!!!
Meanwhile in the upstairs suite Lianna and Hermia are awakening. To her delight Lianna can see again. A little less delightful is the specter of a huge dark skinned man standing over her with a content sort of smile on his face.

Hermia reaches for her sword, moving slowly enough to hopefully not attract the man's notice until she can determine his intentions.

(Hermia you recognize the guy as the priest that healed Lianna. He is new to Lianna though since she was blind army the time, sorry for any confusion.)

Re: Undermountain, the return to Waterdeep.
Oypeen sips from the elven wine brought before him then says, "Whats down there you ask? Well there was a 3 armed creature with 3 heads and nine hands that came through a portal from another realm and chased us all through the dungeon before we turned and faced off against it. The thing had a weapon in every hand and 3 sets of razor teeth," he finishes off his wine, and looking at the elf who asked about the Undermountain, he points at the empty. While the elf gets him a refill, he continues, "It was like a whirling dervish of death. But the poor beast made the fateful decision to tangle with Carnage of Steel and now its nothing more than baby food for the offspring of a gelatinous cube that tried to suck me up before we turned it to paste. Well, those baby cubes hadn't started in on it yet when we left, they were still working on that manticore we dispatched earlier in the day. I think that was after the bugbear shaman and its bodyguards."
He finished off the 2nd wine and then says, "Oh, there's Durnan, I must have a word with him. And I haven't even gotten to tell you about the Hobgoblin lieutenant I charmed nor the beholder floating around down there. Maybe later when there is more wine, ahh, I mean time."
With that he leaves to go talk with Durnan. When he gets his attention and Durnan comes over to him he says, "Durnan, my good man, umm, that first level seems to be picked over a bit as treasure goes - lots of fierce beasts mind you - but treasure was a bit thin on the ground. And I imagine Lytsaile won't be interested in trading interesting dungeon tales for magical teaching. I was wondering if you could assist me in understanding the process for getting credit in this town?"

Since its been a long time since Sturm has been with one of his own, he relaxes and listens to the tales that Kallas spins, inserting a few of his own when the timing is right. The Dwarven Ale is good and soon some of the fearsome things seen down in the undermountain begin to seem not so bad anymore..

Lianna blinks innocently a few times before speaking,Meanwhile in the upstairs suite Lianna and Hermia are awakening. To her delight Lianna can see again. A little less delightful is the specter of a huge dark skinned man standing over her with a content sort of smile on his face.
I am going to assume you are the one who returned my sight to me, and that your not here for another... purpose.
She sits up and lets her eyes adjust to light better. Lianna then looks around the room to see if anyone else is their and upon spying Hermia says with a smile,
And I guess I have you to thank as well?

"Happy to take the credit, as soon as I know what it was I did."
Re: Undermountain, the return to Waterdeep.
Stepping back a pace the priest holds his hands out palm up to show they are empty. I am Balmorea and I am indeed the one who facilitated the return of your sight. You sister in arms over there with the naked steel had to let me see through her eyes what happened after you lost your sight. Are you the leaders of your group? We need to discuss the small matter of the fee to the church.
Laughing and slapping at his knee Kallas is in rare form telling stories, seems he's missed talking to other dwarves as well. At some point in the evening he motions to Durnan and the bar keep brings over a different keg if ale. Knocking the bung out himself Kallas pours out two frothy tankards. Here Sturm try some of this. Not as potent as your but damn smooth. Taking a long pull he smiles and launches into another tale.
There was this orc once that was lost so's the stupid thing asks a dwarf for directions.......
In heading back behind the bar Durnan is stopped by Opyeen. Credit? Well you can always get a loan against any business you own or against projected collateral. If you can guarantee that you'll return with enough money you can loan against that. I can see if Mirt the Moneylender is in town and point him to you.

Re: Undermountain, the return to Waterdeep.
"Thank you master, Durnan. There is little doubt that we will be remaining in the area and returning to the Undermountain. I know there are riches down there once we can just get deep enough to get our hands on it."
Oypeen moves himself from the bar and sits closer to the fire (assuming there is a fire blazing in here). There he will sit and contemplate the best route to take the next time we go down under.

"I don't know if I'd call myself the leader..." Hermia mutters sheepishly.
